Daily Painting #189
This one's done in about 20 min from photographic reference (man... I haven't been able to spend much time on these lately, I need to set aside more time so I can at least bring them to a point where I'll feel a little more confident about posting em)

Daily Paintings #184-187
Man, it's been a little hectic lately. Trying to figure out my schedule for next semester and having multiple projects takes a lot of time! I've still been painting though... even if they've been fast and late at night. But yeah, here they are! I've been trying out some different techniques with some of these (in color, style, and process I paint). Fun, fun, fun!

Daily Painting #182
This was a very fun piece that I painted on my laptop at SJSU today! Got some camel riders, some fort thing... and those things flying in the middle are either very large birds or very bird shaped dragons (but don't worry about that).

Digital Painting #180
Just a pretty simple piece. Haha, the lighting is probably weird and I really need to figure out how to draw towns/cities/places with numerous buildings.

Daily Painting #179
Random building and spaceship thingys. I was trying to experiment with how the sky looked, I wanted it to kind of look dirty-ish. Haha, I dunno, and that building is definitely wonky, but I like how those types of buildings look. I'll have to get some reference and practice them!

Daily Painting #177
A pretty quick one tonight. My thought was that they're a bunch of riders, sort of like a flying bike gang, going off to some city in the distance.

Ani 112a - Reversal
It's not as finished as I'd like it to be, but it was due and this is what I turned in!
Oh, and of course, it looks nicer in life, but I tried to tweak the levels a bit in photoshop to try to get the values a little closer to what they are.
Daily Paintings #172-175
So I haven't posted my daily's for a few days due to my time being sucked up by a pretty time intensive project for one of my art classes, but I've still been painting every day! So here they are, all of them are done in an hour or less (and in some cases a lot less).
I painted this at school pretty quickly, I had to catch the bus in 30 minutes and took about 20 minutes to paint this. |
This is from a photo that I don't own the copyright to (I like the picture a lot) |
This was really fun, I just wanted to paint something that was pretty abstract and try out some various painting techniques) |
Haha, this was really fun to paint! Robot with a unicorn! (that unicorn was gonna be just some people at first... but then I thought that's too boring, and what's better than unicorns?!) |

Daily Painting #170
Oh man, I have so much work left on my reversal project. But here's a quick painting from a photo I did to wrap up the day... gonna have to wake up early tomorrow.

Daily Painting #168
Haha, another really random environment sketch. I was inspired to experiment with some colors after seeing Sheldon (one of my professors) use some of his pastels today in class. I already sort of knew this, but he said something that I really liked: "The color doesn't really matter as long as you get the value right" I think keeping that in mind is really going to help how colors will work in my paintings and bring more interest to how my stuff looks. We'll see!

Daily Painting #165
Fun to make! Haha, definitely not a finished piece (and I might actually want to turn this to color). Took about an hour to think up and paint. Aaaaand, now it's time to sleep.
Edit: I worked on it a little more and wanted to update this post. Didn't change too much (you probably can't easily tell just by looking at the thumbnails), but a few details are different. Still very rough and not finished, but some stuff bothers me less now.
