I like it, try to reserve white for extreme highlights where the sun his hitting a shiny surface perpendicularly. Instead, use a higher value, saturated color to show light.
Also watch out for value tangents. I bet if you desaturated this image those clouds and the tops of the hills will be almost indistinguishable.
Thanks for the crit Jonathan! Yeah, I've been trying to play with how to light objects recently.
Oh yeah, and the clouds do for the most part merge with the hills. Haha, originally I wanted the piece to depict a sort of dreamy/wishy-washy place, I wanted to experiment with the earth sort of blending with sky... but then when I added the flying things it sort of changed the story of the piece and I didn't adjust the values, so thanks for pointing that out!
